The Good News is Pure Poetry

(stumpy) christ of the ozarks

Now I would remind you, brothers,
of the gospel I preached to you,
which you received, in which you stand,

By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly
to the word I preached to you. Otherwise,
you have believed in vain.

For I delivered to you as of first importance
what I also received: that Christ died for our sins
in accordance with the Scriptures,

And that he was buried,
and that he rose again the third day
in acordance with the Scriptures…

And if Christ has not been raised,
then our preaching is in vain
and your faith is in vain.

  1. BB Says:

Praise God that He loved us so much that He would do what it took to save us so we could be with Him and each other forever. I can’t wait until this darkness and madness and evil is all over and all is light and love and joy in His presence.

    • Karen Butler Says:

Amen, BB–Maranatha, Lord Jesus! Let us be held firmly by the Father, and not let the increase of evil cause our love to grow cold.

It is so good to hear from you again, BB!
